All red wines are barrel aged for two years and bottled aged for one year prior to release. They are unfiltered and unfined so some sediment may present itself. White wines are released within six months-ish, depending on our mood or when ready!
100% Alvarinho
Although this is a Spanish/Portuguese varietal, it is not made in the style typical of the ‘vino verdes’ of those regions. This wine is less viscous than those wines, a bit more crisp and has floral/citrus notes which lend a fruitiness that almost seems sweet.
100% Viognier
We originally brought Viognier in primarily for co-fermentation with our Syrahs but it has become so popular, we expanded production. It is lighter in body than typical Viogniers but has the character and nuance that you would expect.
60% Roussanne - 40% Marsanne
A nod to French vineyards where grapes are planted by percentage and the wine includes all grapes in the vineyard, unlike other blended wines where the blending is done with individual components. The vineyard decided the blend!
80% Cabernet Sauvignon - 15% Merlot - 4% Cabernet Franc- 1% Petit Verdot
Classic left-bank Bordeaux blend that combines grapes from two different viticultural areas, the Yakima Valley and Horse Heaven Hills
75% Merlot - 10% Cabernet Sauvignon - 10% Cab Franc - 5% Petit Verdot
Classic right-bank Bordeauz blend that shows well early but continues to becoe more complex over time
100% Syrah
This is our traditional Syrah made with two different yeast strains that complement each other quite nicely. Our Syrahs usually sell out first.
87% Petit Verdot - 10% Cabernet Sauvignon - 3% Cab Franc
The Petit Verdot from Meek Family Estate Vineyards tends to be full bodied and deep in color. It is rounded out by the Cabernet and the nose is complemented by the Cab Franc. This wine drinks well early but will benefit from aging.
100% Syrah
This is a single yeast Syrah made from Yakima Valley AVA grapes. It was Sheryl’s favorite wine. For every bottle that is sold, we donate $5 to cancer research.
88% Cabernet Franc - 7% Cabernet Sauvignon - 4% Merlot - 1% Petit Verdot
A brighter red with black cherry notes and a hint of pepper.
100% Malbec
We loved it in barrel and didn't want to blend it. The name comes from a mis-heard comment on how a wine tastes depends on what 'mood you're in' We googled 'sounds like' moozhurin and it means 'walking about aimlessly with no purpose' Enough said.
Multiple varieties avaiable
Although we are a nano-winery (very small) we have a playful second lable called Loons Labs. It is the juice left over after we drain the fermented wines and press the skins. Many wineries blend this into the drained wines but we prefer not to do that.
